“Gonna try to release that someday.”

Kid Cudi spent a portion of his flight back from Japan answering fan questions about his music, and he dropped some interesting bits of knowledge along the way. One revelation that’s sure to surprise fans is the fact that Cudi has been sitting on an unreleased JAY-Z remix of “Wild’n Cuz I’m Young,” a track from his 2010 album Man on the Moon II: The Legend of Mr. Rager.

Cudi has collaborated with JAY-Z on several tracks, most notably “Already Home” from Jigga’s The Blueprint 3 and the G.O.O.D. Fridays release “The Joy.” However, Jay has never appeared on a Kid Cudi track before.

“Wild’n Cuz I’m Young” is produced by some of Cudi’s closest collaborators at the time: Plain Pat and Emile Haynie. The song never received a video or proper push as a single, although it appears there were plans to do so that were scrapped.

Elsewhere in his Q&A, Cudi discussed the possibility of bringing his breakout mixtape, A Kid Named Cudi, to streaming services:

As Genius has previously reported, sample clearance issues have stopped many blog era mixtapes from migrating to streaming services.

Cudi also talked about wanting to collaborate with Billie Eilish and hoping to do more scoring for films.
